Now, I celebrate Christmas, but I haven't put up a Christmas tree since I became Christian, and that's because of Jeremiah 10:3-5. I do consider it a form of idolatry and paganism, but let's compare this to Rabbinical Judaism. Who is worshipping trees more directly? According to kabbalist sages, the kabbalah tree is a map of God's body. The kabbalah tree IS God, to them. And since the kabbalah tree is present in every person, therefore, everyone IS God, and thus they are really worshipping themselves, but I digress–who is worshipping trees more directly and consciously?
